The 6'th movie of the Fast and Furious movie series is currently in pre-production and will be released on the 24'th May 2013.
The release date is confirmed by Universal Pictures and is valid in the USA.
The Fast & Furious 6 storyline is yet unknown, but there are rumors that director Justin Lin and writer Chris Morgan prepare a back-to-back screenplay with a 7'th Fast and Furious movie as there is too much story to fit in one single movie.
This statement was confirmed in a Fast Five interview by cast member Vin Diesel.
"With the success of this last one, and the inclusion of so many characters, and the broadening of scope, when we were sitting down to figure out what would fit into the real estate of number six, we didn't have enough space.
We have to pay off this story, we have to service all of these character relationships, and when we started mapping all that out it just went beyond 110 pages.
The studio said, 'You can't fit all that story in one damn movie!"
Film producer Neal H. Moritz said:
"In Vin and my mind we already know what the sixth movie is, we’ve already been talking about it. Vin and I have had numerous conversations about what that might be. And we’re starting to get serious about it right now. We just finished [Fast Five] like 4 or 5 weeks ago and we just needed a break, and now we’re gonna start focusing on that."
The Fast and Furious cast consist of movie stars Paul Walker, Vin Diesel, Dwayne Johnson, Jason Statham, Michelle Rodriguez, Jordana Brewster and Tyrese Gibson. Other cast members are yet unknown. Dwayne Johnson stated he wants to appear in and be integral to the action in Fast Six.
Fast and Furious 6 cars are not officially announced but there are rumors that Universal Pictures will impact the audience with the newest model of the 2010 Nissan Skyline GTR as well as Dom's Challenger that appeared on the last scene from the Fast Five movie.
A official Fast and Furious 6 Trailer is yet not available, but it is rumored that a early trailer of the movie will be released in the winter of 2012.
